Somebody on the hot rod forums said the motor mounts for the 258 match right up with the motor mounts for Dodge's 488 V10. Can somebody confirm or bust this myth? a V10 Eagle would be cool

Man isn't it enough trouble getting to the valve cover and other "things" on the 258? It already takes too long to get to things on a stock Eagle.
Hard to imagine stuffing 4 more cylinders in there!

Aside from building a new chassis, there's no way the V-10 is gonna fit in that hole.  Maybe cruise over to a truck dealer or 2 and peek under the hood on their used lot.

The one in my truck is only a 6. The last 2 cylinders are hiding under the cowl.LOL

I think I see the issue - they put too many valves in that thing.

They let the good air in @ 29 psi and the smoke out the 4" pipe.

And it's only twice as wide.
Have you found any trucks with a V-10 to get measurements?
Have you planned out the new front/ rear axles and transmission?
Don't forget a bunch more radiator. Most probably have to fab  up a pair of frame ties since the old unit body may not be up to the task of the torque.
