232 dies after warm-up

Do you remember the part # for the coil with the built in resistor? I can't seem to find one anywhere!

you are not alone , nor are you going crazy ...i had exactly the same thing on my 232...it started perfect, ran perfect for 10mins then started to splutter carry on like a guy who has drunk way to much jd...Angry
wot i did
rebuilt carby, changed gaskets , removed all smog pump gear, replaced fuel pump, checked for vacumm leaks in the wiper motor , checked the lifters to see if it had any leakin, checked rebuilt vacumm advance on dizzy , replaced dizzy cap points ,plugs , condensor leads, coil.......the car still ran perfect for 10mins then slputtered and died.AngryDeadAngry........ the sumone here said check yhe coil ....checked the coil, again....and bugger me the car had been fitted  originally with the incorrect coil.. when i replaced the coil i replaced with the same type of coil .....in short my car needed a coil with a built in restistor ,  i had replaced the coil that needs a resistor in the harness .. , i fitted a new coil with a built in restistor BINGO  no more problems car runs perfect!!Big smileBig smileBig smile
