Was there a year/vehicle difference between the orange one and the black one?

I wasn't aware that AMC used anything other than orange, but the same exact space saver tire was used by Chrysler, same bolt pattern, and those had a black rim.

The orange rim tire shows F78

Capscot, the black rim appears to be a much newer space saver spare.

F78-14 is not AMX or Javelin......that would be an E78-14......the wheel at the center ont he black one is nothing like I have ever seen on a 74 or prior AMC......

That could be correct for Machine! It's not right for AMX/Javelin.

The black one is for later model its a "c" code.

F is not AMC. I believe it's a Chrysler spare, yes there's were orange too.

The other is for a late model Concord.
