I recently replaced the ignition coil but the resistor attached to the coil bracket looks rough. Anyone know where to buy one or find one? Tried a few auto parts and no one carried them and couldn’t find them online? Am I calling it it the wrong thing -sorry wasn’t able to upload a photo

Thanks

Does the TSM list the resistance value?  The resistance wire in my IH dump truck died and I took the resistance value from the wiring diagram and got the equivalent value in a ballast resistor from NAPA.  They have quite a selection of available resistances.

It's not a resistor. It's a capacitor to filter out radio interference but the engine will run without it.

You can replace it with a standard ignition condenser if you solder on the bullet connector from the original condenser. Napa part number RR176. They are in stock at most stores.
