Hey people I took my speedo cable off to get fixed, I moved the car back in to the shed cos it started raining I picked the cable up from repair shop and went to re attach it and there's transmission oil all over the shed floor, I feel a little stupid as I moved the car without the speedo cable on. I'm not a mechanic, need some help please, can I put the speedo cable back in and just top the transmission oil up or have I done some damage why the transmission oil leaked out when I moved the car?? TIA

Sounds like a very short move into the shed....just put it back in and top off with proper fluid. If your speedo housing has o-rings, they should be replaced anyway...leak check, I am confident you will be fine.
