My '73 Javelin was originally 304 + 3spd manual. I want to convert to a '73 360 & still use the original 3spd.  Can somebody tell me if I need a 10 inch or 11inch flywheel & where I can find a new one?  Is my tranny a T 14 or T 15 (I don't know the difference)  Can somebody recommend a good clutch kit? I'm guessing that I have a 10 inch clutch in there now. Will I have to get the flywheel drilled for the 360 crank?

The 304 flywheel physically bolts up to a 360 (all 72+ V8's are the same  pattern, the 304 & 360 cranks are actually the same crank),
but it WONT work because the balance will be way way off.

AMC engines were balanced by drilling holes in the flywheel and cranks,
so a 304 flywheel would be balanced to work with the weight of the 304's rotating assembly and not the 360.

All the AMC flywheels I've used have had the 10.5/10.95" clutch pattern on them.
There's lots of factory replacement clutch kits,
I used a Hayes Street Strip last time, but felt it slipped more than the factory replacement that I had before
^it's possible I didn't break it in right but I didn't like it.

My next clutch will be a Ram,
hopefully I like that one better.

Learned the hard way. A 304 flywheel will NOT work on a 360. Just get a 360 flywheel. Nothing else will work.
