On the 1971 Javelin where does the green wire connect to on the fuel gauge Low Fuel Warning system.

They call this connection the instrument cluster pin terminal. Does anyone have a photo of this connection??

Thanks for the help in advance

I had posted a picture of my setup... it may be found by a search.

Note the kit has a plastic washer that must be installed on the gauge to keep the fuel sender from feeding signal to the gauge.

It won't be until Monday for me to get my setup out from the box for me to take another picture.

I see the plastic washer on the stud with a nut be hide my fuel gauge. I slipped on the yellow wire on that stud. Sounds like that is wrong.

If you had a photo of the connections back there that would be great.

This is of my 70 Javelin gauge cluster so I dont know if it will work or not.
There is only 1 pin that that wire could fit on.

If you have the cluster off the car is there 1 pin on it not part of the main conection like mine?
If so you should be able to trace it out. I dont remember but I want to say from looking at my picture it is power with key on but check before you go hooking anything up.

BTW my low fuel light assy thru off the gauge when I had it hooked up. Light would go on/off at about 1/2 tank and never went all the way to full, was about 7/8 and it bugged me.

LOL crap you got me Confused
On mine the harness plugs in to the pins in the center, where does your harness tie into?
What letters are the fuel gauge?
The other big question I have is where do you put the low fuel light in that cluster? Mine would have an open hole if I did not have the light but I dont see one on yours.

Over the wekend I will pull try and pull my cluster off the shelf to see if that green wire goes to the choke (the paper wraped thing) pin or something else close to it maybe that will help.

The low fuel lamp on the 71 is on the warning lamp panel below the instrument cluster.
