Worked on the car today.   Put 10 gallons of race fuel into the cell. Fired up the electric fuel punps and set the float levels. Minor leaks traced back to loose fittings.

Then I primed the oiling system for 20 minutes and checked for leaks, again there were a few loose fittings, now tight. No leaks. Primed up the Accusump so now it has a pressure filled load for when I actually start it which looks like next weekend.

Installed the N-63Y Champion plugs and installed the distributor on the correct stroke cycle.

I did not fill the cooling system since I normally fill new installations with plain water until everything checks out, the I install my mix of anti freeze and other stuff.

Installed the quarter windows, not the easiest thing to do but done.

Hopefully the next time I work on this it will fire up!

GOOD NEWS AND BAD NEWS

I GOT IT STARTED, RAN FOR 10 MINUTES NO ISSUES. SOUNDER SUPER SWEET

THEN IT SHUT OFF LIKE SOMEONE TURNED A SWITCH. THE MSD DIED. NO SPARK. SINCE IT IS AN OUTDATED MODEL 6T I NEED TO FIND ONE OR SEND THIS ONE BACK TO GET FIXED. SURE THE NEW 6AL IS GOOD BUT IT IS WIDER AND WILL NOT FIT WHERE I HAVE THE CURRENT 6T AND I AM NOT REDESIGNING THE MOUNTING SO WAITING . MEANTIME WE ARE GOING TO RESUME THE FINAL BODY PREP THEN TURN IT 2012 PORSCHE SILVER.

I would love to see what's inside the the outdated module. I bet them caps died as they have a shelf life. Most older electronics go bad after being stored away un used. Some times diodes wear out, so depending on what may be the cause, it may be a simple fix.

There may be an internal fuse that popped as well, but it would just be a good indicator that something is bad like a power transistor or Darlington pair. Once something like that goes, you start blowing fuses.
