Have an am 8 track that needs 2 transistors. These are mounted in the casing. Cannot read the numbers and don`t have the radio model number. Can anyone help me with this?

I think you are talking about the audio output transistors. Chances are they are a TO-3 style case and you will need to determine if they are PNP or NPN type. If you are tech savvy, or if you have a friend who is, try picking a replacement from the NTE line.

I'd succest NTE 280 or 281.

Thanks for that info. There are a couple of old radio guys in this area that can repair it if they have some numbers. I will go that route first. I did some research and I believe the radio 8 track player is model # 1RA5102. Is there anyone out there with info for parts for this model? A Sams photofacts booklet would have it. The unit is I believe 1970 or 71.
