I remember receiving a notice from AMC about my AMX back in 1971.  It was recalled for the Turn Signal Bulbs needing replacing.  Could it be that the painted translucent yellow bulbs were not bright enough?  They replaced it with the transparent amber colored bulbs.  They did go to the clear bulb with amber lens in 1972.

well at least you know what they marked you off for Terry... I sent the email in Oct for my judging sheet and have yet to get anything. in return.

The 70 and 71 housing is chrome inside too. Better reflection I suppose for the painted bulb. 72 up is silver painted.
