Anyone know of detailed production number data? I'm wondering if there's a way to find out how many cars were produced in any category with specific appointments, i.e. I'd like to know how many 1966 Classic 770 Cross Country wagons with 327 270hp V8s were produced, since this engine is an option. Also, how many cars with other options were made or ordered. I have a production sheet that shows how many 770 wagons were made that year, but that's all it shows.

I was just hoping against hope there might be some resource. Seems to happen every time a company folds or is absorbed.

1966 is the last year I'm aware of for a complete AMC factory listing of production figures. I have/had one. I found when I moved and put once again in a safe place. It's really safe, as when I unpacked I could not remember once again where I put the 1966 figures. I've looked and not found. I think it in the bottom of one of the plastic moving crates. I've got 3 full of photos and negatives of car shows back in the day when we used film cameras. I think it may be there, but I'd have to take all three crates apart to look and just have not got a round to it. Some day I'll find the 66 figures. I know there here some where. Just not sure where. And copies are rare to boot. I find it. I'll post it. I've got 65 and and back to 1948 or so. 1966 likes to hide on me for some reason. LRDaum

I know of your frustration. I had to move a shop and office recently, still finishing the sorting. It can't hide forever. I look forward to seeing what you have. Very curious.

Me too. It seems like '66 is the lost year whenever I've looked for any information beyond the basic production numbers. Maybe because everyone is getting their numbers from MrAMC? LOL.

‘70 Rebel Machine, 390/M12
‘74 Javelin AMX, 401/727
