Hey you know that Rebel seems to be getting to you, perhaps you could sell it to me?
I understand it is a family car, but I'd hate to see you get disappointed with the Rambler brand, they can be troublesome. Looks like your on the right track. I had one back in the day, 327, 4 speed, 4 barrel carb, probably even had disc brakes, I never found out. Enjoy your ride, and the process getting there.

How much cash in your pocket? :)

Thanks!  Can't wait to take that first ride down the road!

You will need to shim the replacement calipers. The old ones probably had some shims when installed. The shimming is to "align" the caliper with the rotor...to make up for some slop in installation and perhaps the machining of parts.

Ahh okay, sounds good!

If you get a chance, PM me your price on your pads.  Or if you have a part number that could work too!

I'd like to hopefully get her on the road midweek next week :)

Centric 10200190  for $16.38

MIGHT need to grind two tabs off of each pad.

There is a little difference between AMC and MoPar pads: IIRC one is identified as a D-18 pad and the other as D-19. But I believe you can make either one work.

Paul

p.s. Don't fall for the ones on ebay that are regularly advertised as fitting a Toyota Corolla and a '69 Ambassador. That is some mistake in a parts application guide that seems to show up regularly. They look nothing at all like the Bendix 4 piston pad.

Are these 184497 calipers the same part number for each side?

I want to order them tonight and hope they ship tomorrow, can anyone touch on this?

Awesome!  Ordered them up! :)

Last thing I need to find now is a master cylinder for the disc brakes and possibly some decent priced brake lines for the front and rear.. any leads there? :D

MC look harder to find! RockAuto seems to have a rebuild kit. I'm not familiar enough with that '66 brake booster to know what newer MC might fit.

I may have actually answered my own question... haha

This is what I have found..

Isn't that 1" bore proper for the disc brakes?
