The last owner changed the alternator to one with an internal regulator. I just got the car back together and the pulley is about a 1/4' off and the alt does not sit straight. It does charge fine no matter how the two brown wires it has are hooked up. I do not get a charge light. I would like to know what alt fits this car correct other than stock which i have not found.

With so many making changes I find it best to get all the information. Hope the link helped but,
I think Frank or Tom would be the best resource on this.

Was the Motorola alternator an option in '63?  I know it was optional in '64.

I think that was what was on it from the factory, it still had the regulator on it, just not hooked up.
