I wanted to confirm this could be done on the full size cars as well. Tom outlines the mod fairly well. I just got a new set of stiffer springs and wanted to upgrade the shocks as well up front. few options with the big eyelet lower shock bushing.
The shock mod is outlined at the bottom of the page.

That will work with any of the cars that use the lower shock eye as a brace between the two lower arms. The lower arms on the 56-60 are nearly identical to the 58-63 American, and the shock mount is the same.
