You'll probably need to find a data color upholstery book if such a pub was produced in 1957. Later years of AMC production had one, and I believe at last one such book was supplied to each dealer for each model year.  They are scarce and rather pricey today.

One place you might call and ask is SMS Auto Interiors in Oregon.  Call them and tell them you'd like samples of the upholstery for AMC/Rambler trim code 618 in 1957 and see if they can help.

If any supplier can help, its SMS,
they deliverd the 100% machting cloth for an Friends 1956 Packard Executive H/T, suppling an 100% matching sample in under a week to switzerland, to make sure its the correct Stuff.
and the quality was real good.

They are not cheap, they are not expensive,
they are simply worth the Bucks the charge you.

You sure you have the right trim code ? For 1957 the code should start with a 7 not a 6. The oldest upholstery book I have is 1958. I do have the 1957 Data book but it does not list the upholstery codes. Usually the codes break down with year 195(7) or 7 for the year, then the series number 10 series car(Rambler 6) with the last number standing for the material color. I think gray or silver. Not sure if 1957 or 1956 is different then the later codes. The later codes get a little more complicated due variable seat styles. But they generally run to that type of format. LRDaum

Yes the trim code is 618 and above that on the tag on the passenger side of the firewall is model# 5715-2 above that is body# 5346 and of course the serial# that has its own tag.
I appreciate you looking at the data book, that saves me buying one right now.
SMS couldn't find it either so I will keep searching.....

Try contacting Brian yacino at the AMC rambler club.   He has been trying to complete the club's collection of literature and he might have a 1957 upholstery parts book.   Joe

Body 5346 = Same as VIN Number
Model # 5715-2 = Rambler 6 custom 4-dr sedan.
Trim 618 = Not listed.  All Trim codes for 1957 Nash start with T7XX  However Trim Codes for 1956 started with T6XX.  I have none listed for 1956 Nash Rambler. Only for Statesman or Ambassador
I do have for 1957 a T718 which is a black and peach cloth and vinyl.
