That is a later Jeep bracket. I snagged it from J&W Auto Wreckers in Antelope California. I got a lead that AMC and Jeeps are their specialty so I chased one down. It is a pretty slick way to convert to a Sanden compressor. Not the first time we have used that bracket on a project.

The car looks great Kevin. Are you going to go stealth and eliminate the Javelin script and bulls eye on the C-pillar? Tom

Its an AMX so it would not have the Javelin Script and bullseye.  I do not want to drill the quarters so I am going to use an adhesive to mount the AMX badging.

Kevin,

About 10 years ago I bought a pretty convert from Az. My wife was so surprised I would go so far to get a car. I told her the reason mostly was rust. She said, Mark that car doesn't have any rust! I said exactly and I could neither do the work, or pay for it to be done and also why I was willing to pay what I did.
Car looks like it did when I got it, but still no rust. I think I choose wisely. Great work there sir.

I just read this whole thread. That is some amazing work. I have to be honest with you I would say 95% of people would have parted that car out after blasting and that's probably including the original owner if you showed him the pictures! I thought mine was bad but this one made mine look like a rust free Arizona car. I look forward to watching the rest of the build.
