Looking at one of these for the upcoming Megastreet engine's 727 trans. Anyone know how strong these shields are? -Steve- |

My friend John has had one on his Mopar 727 for years. It's strong, meets the rules, and will save you if the transmission should ever explode. Here's a video of his car that has the shield.

My car won't be that radical but sometimes things break. I'd like to keep my legs so I'll probably install one. -Steve-

Run a billet drum, a LBA valve body, a bolt in sprag and a blanket....no low gear burnouts

I thought the Low Band Apply was so you CAN do a low gear burnout. -Steve-

Sure you can do a burnout in low gear with any 727. As long as you get into 2nd before the tires hook. I like piece of mind and a LBA body combined with a bolt in sprag and absolutely a billet steel drum give me that. The LBA will reduce damage if a sprag lets go but then again the case is toast if that happens usually anyways. I even have a billet drum in a 998 which is overkill but then again POM
