Looking at one of these for the upcoming Megastreet engine's 727 trans. Anyone know how strong these shields are?

My friend John has had one on his  Mopar 727 for years. It's strong, meets the rules, and will save you if the transmission should ever explode. Here's a video of his car that has the shield.

My car won't be that radical but sometimes things break. I'd like to keep my legs so I'll probably install one.

Run a billet drum, a LBA valve body, a bolt in sprag and a blanket....no low gear burnouts

I thought the Low Band Apply was so you CAN do a low gear burnout.

Sure you can do a burnout in low gear with any 727. As long as you get into 2nd before the tires hook. I like piece of mind and a LBA body combined with a bolt in sprag and absolutely a billet steel drum give me that. The LBA will reduce damage if a sprag lets go but then again the case is toast if that happens usually anyways. I even have a billet drum in a 998 which is overkill but then again POM
