Seems like a pretty good start, 1/4 mile is probably going to need a change of gears and a parachute, beyond that you really to know what rules will apply for the speed you will be running and class you want to race in. |

I've finally given up drinking for good...........now I only drink for evil.

I bought this car from photos and drove from Michigan to Seattle to get it. Nice old race car. I got home Monday and started poking around the internet for AMC info and found this post last night. I have a son that lives in Seattle so I was searching craigs list looking for a newer car, I searched gasser for the heck of it and this thing popped up. Next thing I knew I was hooking up the trailer. So I have it sitting in my trailer right now basically ready to go the track.

That's awesome. You could not build that car for his asking price. You need to hurry up and get more posts so you can share some pictures........Jim.

He said he had more in the motor than he sold the car for, I believe it, it's nicely done. Steve

Hello !
I just joined the Forum this morning. I hope that my message goes to the right place. The gasser you are talking about was owned by my friend Dan out of Onalaska Washington. Dan is a great engine builder. I bought the 66 American street car from him that has a 401 full roller motor Tremec 6 speed 4.11 gear car. I can call and ask him if he is okay with me sharing more information on him and the drag car. I will share photos of the street car very soon. Thanks for allowing me to join the AMCFORUM |
