Rick J has been working with David Pine to get a rimblo steering wheel restored. Rick is donating the wheel, but doesn't have the AMX center medallion. If someone has one in usable condition get in touch with Rick and/or me. I'm posting this to the AMC-List and the other Forum too. Once we have one I'll post that info, so don't forget to let me know so I can tell the other fellows to stop looking too!

Need definitive answer - what is needed for interior - ie:
Seat covers??  What colour/style?
What about door panels?
I need to nail down EXACTLY what Legendary might do for us. Getting a dialog going NOW, need to know.
But I want to give him a definite need list, not a "well, I don't really know".
Tom B, or anyone else - what is needed or what would be appreciated from Legendary.

Everything we can for the interior. I believe the carpet had been replaced before the Charity project started, and maybe the headliner, but that was all. Seat covers and door panels definitely! I'm not sure about the dash pad, but I don't think Legendary does those anyway. If they do visors to match the door panels and seats that would be good. Even if the door panels we have are in usable condition new ones would be better.

Just left John a message on his machine -- should hear from him this afternoon/evening or tomorrow.

After inventorying the Charity AMX today, here are the items that are needed for completion. I tried to break it down by area:

Under the hood:

Need heat riser.

Ram air parts-need everything except the “Y” duct (over air cleaner with foam and solenoid, hood inserts and chrome surrounds with clips.)

Would like a radiator with the date code J9, K9, L9, A0, B0, C0. Damaged or not, as long as the top tank is ggod.

7 bladed fan and shroud

Correct 70 air cleaner housing with element-have snorkel and lid. Need wing nut

Black heater hose to water pump

Accelerator cable

Heater control cable

Tach wiring harness

Clamps for smog system hoses

Smog pump fan belt

High pressure power steering hose

Vacuum advance hard formed line

Cowl weatherstrip and metal retainer

Radiator cap

Power steering pump rebuild kit

Correct battery

THE FOLLOWING PARTS HAVE BEEN REMOVED FROM THE ABOVE LIST AS WE HAVE FOUND SOMEONE TO DONATE THEM-THANK YOU ALL VERY MUCH!

EN66 engine paint

Hood bumpers that mount on fenders.

Correct nuts for hood hinges-need 8

Correct thermostat housing-should not have any plugs for CTO switches

Correct log style 1970 up exhaust manifolds with smog holes. These would all work from 304 to 401 engines, but the date coded mid 70 AMCs would be better. Will take them with or without the smog stuff on them

Dip stick

Need one hood adjuster with one rubber bumper-here is a pic of the damaged one and a good one:

Need painted oil cap

5 small head valve cover bolts and 10 half moon washers.

Electric washer pump wiring harness

Fuel line clamp at valve cover

Brake line “S” clip at master cylinder

Vacuum advance assy (single diaphram)

Correct distributor cap

“H” shaped brake pressure differentiation switch mounted to firewall

Correct coil

69-70 heater motor (68 is on the car)

For the intake manifold-the small square head pipe thread that is used for standard shift cars (autos use a vacuum fitting). Also correct power brake vacuum port-has only one large tube fitting.

3 heater motor mounting nuts with rubber inserts

Have washer bag and clips but need hoses and washer nozzles.

Inner alternator bracket (not the “C” or “Z” shaped brackets-the third one)

Exterior Body Needs:

All four marker lights and correct screws

2 directional light housings, one lens and 2 bulbs. I need the housings with the prongs on the back, not the wires. Here is a picture of the housing with the wire and the ush in plug that we need.

Left and right horns

2 small bumper bolts for ends of front bumper

2 360 emblems

Clips for windshield and rear window surround stainless trim

Mounts for rear bumper with bumper bolts, nuts and washers. We have a rechromed bumper. (Bumper guards would be a plus!)

Rain gutter trim-right rear with clip

Quarter window trim-left and right (chrome0mounts on top of quarter panel). Also need one clip and both screws

License plate light assy.

Decklid-no rust only

Need a 70 door, left side. Can trade a mint 68 door. Here are some differences:

1970 (Compare to the 68-a lot of differences)

68 (note missing plastic white clips and insert area)

Needs a windshield-tinted

Need taillight housings chromed

Complete wheel assys-lug nuts, center caps (have retainers), trim rings. Need 4 correct wheels-can trade for the 7 inch Ford ones on the car.

Correct E70-14 raised white letter Goodyear Polyglass tires.

THE FOLLOWING PARTS HAVE BEEN REMOVED FROM THE ABOVE LIST AS WE HAVE FOUND SOMEONE TO DONATE THEM-THANK YOU ALL VERY MUCH!

Correct “TS” headlights

Painted head manual mirror

“AM” rear emblem below rear window-later style

Need someone to restore the wiper assy. Have two motors and harness and the linkage. Needs retaining nuts and washers and both arm/wiper assys.

Correct machine screws for the headlight doors

Trunk lock and retainer assy.

Tom, I'll start digging around for some more parts. I can help with a lot of the small parts. Below is a list of parts that I can definitely supply. I'll double check to see if I can come up with some NOS side of hood bumpers too.......

thermostat housing
one hood adjuster with one rubber bumper
Correct nuts for hood hinges
unpainted oil cap
5 small head valve cover bolts and 10 half moon washers.
Electric washer pump wiring harness
Tach wiring harness
Dip stick
Fuel line clamp at valve cover (I'll ned a pic or good description)
Brake line “C” clip at master cylinder (I'll ned a pic or good description)
Vacuum advance assy (single diaphram)
Correct distributor cap (do you want a Delco with Pat #?)
brake pressure differentiation switch
Correct coil
69-70 heater motor
square head pipe thread that is used for standard shift cars
correct power brake vacuum port
3 heater motor mounting nuts with rubber inserts
washer bag hoses and washer nozzles
Inner alternator bracket
7 bladed fan (I have a non flex original)
Correct “TS” headlights
Painted head manual mirror (lt or Rt? I already donated an NOS painted head Lt I can come up with a Rt too)
“AM” rear emblem below rear window-later style
Trunk lock and retainer assy
Correct machine screws for the headlight doors

You can take the parts I've listed above off the list. I'll put what will fit in a Flat Rate box later this week. I may be able to find a few more of the parts listed. I'll let you know if I do....

Can you use the heat riser without the quarter sized hole?
