I've been a member of this forum U.S. threads for awhile. I tinker with cars to what looks good as clones. I often wondered how a AMC Hornet 4 door, (1973-75) would look to clone one like the 4 door Ford Falcons on the Mad Max movie. I Know grill is a little different and tailights, but put fender flares, yellow wagon wheel spokes, roof spoiler and paint it exactly like the MFP interceptor 4 doors in the movie, right down to the bubble lights and megaphone on the top. Sorry if its a ignorant thread or IF I'm not supposed to be on this site.

I might do it. I'm an artist by nature can draw about anything, can look at a car and see what it would look like with grill , stripes, wheels etc. I know the 1970 - 72 Grills on Hornets were flatter and more solid, painted correctly with the fender flares, front spoiler, top roof spoiler, etc. somebody in the car world knowing that movie would know exactly what it was. I'm sure those Ford Falcons in your country are very hard to find, no?

Not sure how it would look on a Hornet but spotted this one at a car show recently:

Theres a 74 Hornet in the first Movie, Also Johnny Lightning did a 69 AMX  as an Intercepter. Also Had a friend who worked at Hendon studios and he told me that one AMX was done up as an Interceptor. Unfortunatly the director didnt like it so it wasnt used. That car was sold out of Broken Hill in the early 80's Its now I think In Nowra painted a copper colour.

Looks like a 69 Shelby hood on that car. Was there a version for the Aus Falcon available?

I didn't know there was a Hornet. I thought they were all Ford Falcons. I didn't know there were any new Mad Max Movies either. I know Mel Gibson said a few years ago, he was too old to do a newer movie. But hey, Swartzenneger did the Rise of the Machines at 52 years and Stallone did Rockey Balboa at 62, so it wouldn't have been any different.

All the XA-XB-XC high performance falcons had "nostrils" and bonnet(hood) hold down pins. (1973-1979?)
My old man had a XB GS with a factory high compression 250 which also had that bonnet.
Sold it for 4000, imagine what it would be worth today.

Mel Gibson isnt in the new movies. I don't know if they are rebooting the series or continuing where they left off.
