Anybody running a high volume pump on a V8? Are they worth the extra money or should I just get one from the local parts store.
The bearing on my other pump let go the other day and took out my 6 month old 3 row radiator and fan blade at 6000 rpm's, good thing I had a clutch fan or it would have been a lot worse, the clutch slipping saved what probably would have been a lot more carnage. When I opened the hood the fan was buried in the radiator.

I like my old aluminum flowkooler and for $99 there not priced bad it has been on my car with a 3 core stock rad for 10+ years.  the only issue I can see is if you have a well used front cover there can be interference with the extra space the plate takes up

I had a brand new NAPA water pump let go and it took out my new aluminum radiator. After 7 months of pestering everyone I could contact in the NAPA hierarchy, they slapped me with $700 to shut me up.

I've got a Flowcooler on my J-10 360,  but I don't know if it's better or not,  it's all i've had.
I have a Griffen radiator, and electric fan only,  no heat problems, towing in the mountains, hottest weather for 10 years.

I have the flowcooler as well because it was the only one summit had in stock at the time. Seemed like a lot of extra coin for someone to weld a solid disk to the back of the impeller. Just buy a regular pump and make your own I reckon.

Thanks for the input, my pump was a Napa pump one year old and a reman. I thought it was a new one until I looked at the receipt. I went with a GMB for now it was available local and I think I am going to install a Meziere set up this winter.

GMB part# 110-1040P is a high performance aluminum water pump. Advance Autos website has them for $79.99 but other places might have them to. This is for the V8's to and not the 6 cylinders.
Jeeps aren't bought they're built.
