buddy has a 1980 j10 Jeep Laredo am and fm work but cb does not any thoughts? We are dumb when it comes to this stuff and seeing if anyone has had the same issue. Got a new whip and coax but got nothing. Thank you.

Are you using the original AMC/Jeep handset with it?

I tried to plug an AMC marked handset into a regular CB radio and,
even though it used the same connector, the internal wiring was actually different and it didn't work.

So if you're using a non-AMC handset I don't think the CB part will work.

if you choose to take it to the local truck stop that has a repair person in there and have him look at it most of these guys are good at this and priced fair

how are you testing the CB portion?

Chances are somebody has keyed the mic with no antenna connected and cooked the transmitter.
