I spoke with SMS Fabrics in Oregon last week and asked about status on the Pierre Cardin reproduction material that they are working on?
said I could pre-order @ 149.00 per yard (4 yards needed-which I would be happy to order). I asked if an approx. timeframe for completion and availability - response was a ?little bit" - I would want to know specs on material/and pics of course but I am excited if this becomes available !?? anyone have any further information or confirmation this may be available soon!?
Hopeful!!

In my experience they ship quickly for materials they have in stock.  Others have been strung along for weeks or months for materials they are reproducing and things like door panels.  Joe

LOL - two years ago it was supposed to be out in about a year......... I gave up and purchased some of the last NOS on the planet.

I still need a piece of the black 16" x 16" because a sheet or panel was shy of making the back seat 100% but we subbed in some vinyl and it looks fine - however, I still want to keep my options open and will continue to look for that small piece of the black in case I want to remove the vinyl and make it EXACTLY like factory.

Well, about 20-25 yrs ago ----when searching for parts/in one of the may times I was going to start back on my SST---I ran across someone who said they had a "Bolt" of the original PC material....I unfortunately thought it was too high at the time for $480.00 and passed on it..... shoulda, coulda...SAD that I didn't...

is there enough in a PC headliner (if I can find one??) to do the bottom 2 seats for the front buckets?? All of the rest is in decent shape.

Expertise please??   what is best way to try and clean my existing Pierre Cardin material? for best results, and not ruining and to keep any remaining colors of material?

1. steam cleaner 2. regular upholstery cleaner and cloths 3. someone suggested maybe the "tornader" air pressure based gun/cleaner devise?

about a year ago I gave the name and number to a guy to call and ask.   it is my understanding he hung the phone up and didnt even discuss it.   He did admit he had the NOS roll but said he couldnt sell it because he still needed enough to do 3 cars
