My 61 American convertible has Toyo Extensa 205/75R15’s mounted.  They were on the car when I got it.

Thank everyone so much I am going to go with 205/75R15’s. I am amazed that the tire shops were not any help. Thanks again

Tire shops know about late model imports, not much else, in my experience.

I've got 205/50-R16's on my '61 roadster. I had custom steel wheels made, $114 each, 7" wide rim. Lots of tire choices.
