Sc/rambler has new center force dual friction clutch and pressure plate assembly installed. Says 50% less force required to apply clutch, I would assume that also means that there is 50% less back pressure against your foot at the pedal. Also has new over center spring on top of pedal assembly under dash. Problem is now the pedal doesn't really come back up with your foot or like push against your foot, kinda have to tap your foot against it to get it to come up. I ordered and intalled a new return spring that's on the end of the fork ( replacement from Kennedy American ). These springs seam to weak. Anyone ever encounter this? I would like to install a heavier spring, but don't know exactly what to order, I've taken the spring to all the auto and hardware stores in town but can't seem to find a similar one with more tension.

I ran a CF DF clutch - but without the over-center spring under the dash and had no issues. Have you tried it without the OC spring?
