Thank you for posting this information. I tried to sell a 79 304 flywheel to a gentleman who needed one badly on this forum several years ago that was exactly like the flywheel you described as not having a balancing lug. Instead it had multiple holes drilled in it to balance it. I know for a fact it came from a 79 304, however at least one un-iinformed individual bomb blasted me over claiming it to be a 304 flywheel. He thought it was for a 6 cylinder. I tried to point out that I6s are internally balanced and the flywheel would not have such large holes drilled for balance if any holes at all.  Too late, the poor guy who needed a late 70's 304 flywheel didn't buy it. I never heard any more about it. I am still holding on to the flywheel and the un-informed guy is still just as ignorant as before...
thanks for allowing me to rant over this....and providing back up for me that I was in fact truthful.
