I changed to the 73/74 grille as it has the turn signals in it, no problem to add the spoiler replacing the lower valance. I under stand if you don't want to change to a different grille but for me it wasn't an issue. I thought about doing it the way you did, good idea and let's you keep your original grille

Hey 72SST,
How did you solve your front turn lights problem, but I have a '72 with the same issue. One of the PO's started a AMX clone procedure and did everything exterior wise except for the grill - which can run up to 2 g's - crazy. I spent a long time looking for motorcycle or hotrod lights that I liked that I could mount on the spoiler or bumper without cutting the egg crate grill.
Settled on some modern H4 headlamps with the LED halo wired separate for the turn/park function. |

I hadn't thought about that option... I'm kind of partial to my '72 grille and would like to keep it.... Guess a front spoiler isn't in the cards for me!!

You could move to change the headlight doors, and grill with turn signals from a 73 or 74. Or graft or add a strut mounted lip lip to your existing metal front valence. |

I'm curious as to what you're going to do about the turn signals/parking lights after installing the front spoiler?
I have a '72 as well, and always loved the look of the front spoiler! But no way can I afford an AMX grille to relocate the lights that way!! |

That P/N on the bracket looks like Galvin's Rambler Parts......I would say it is available from any AMC vendor that sells reproduction parts.
