Hello all,

Has anyone install Eaton Detroit springs on their vehicles? I would like to use them to lower the stance of my 74 Javelin AMX and wanted to find out if any of you have any experience with their products.

Thank you,
Anthony

The best and in my opinion the only place to buy springs from for AMC's.  I have them on my three Javelins and one AMX.

I did  try the lesser expensive ones you find out there.  Nothing but a big mistake.  Threw them in the garbage.

I did have to slightly re-arch one set, but it was no big issue.

I threw away one set and gave another away of Eaton springs cause they could not get it right despite very detailed instructions so I guess we all have our opinions. Coil Spring Specialties is my recommendation

I put a pair on my 73 AMX and ordered them with a 1” drop. No complaints at all.

I put some Eaton springs in my car in about 1988. I had to rearch the rears in about 2008 and other than that, they have been fine.

Used Eaton for front coil springs and rear leaf springs on my 69 Rambler about 2 years ago.  Worked great.  I even asked them to arch the rears 1" higher.  Perfect work and stance for my car.

Used Eaton on several cars. Thumbs Up

The only issue I have encountered was a local club member ordered standard ride height springs for their Spirit. When they were installed the member thought they were too high. When we measured we found the old springs had sagged so badly the car had been lowered and the new springs had in fact put it back to the factory ride height. All a matter of expectations and perspective in that case.

I have bought a lot of springs from Eaton Detroit and had several custom sets made, NEVER a problem.  Years ago bought from ESPO and several others......all complete garbage.....yes they are more expensive, BUT WELL WORTH IT.
