Perhaps notable to only me, my father, Don Frost, passed yesterday at age 81, from congestive heart failure.

He was an accomplished mechanic, having learned his skills during WWII when repair parts were scarce, and your local mechanic had to make do, and literally re-manufacture stuff in their shops.

Dad gave me my love of cars, and got me started with AMCs when he gave me the family car, a 1967 Ambassador DPL 2-door hardtop, to drive when I turned 16.

Nice father! Sorry for your loss.
What those guys could accomplish back then was amazing. It's one thing I like about the old tractors and antique engines - it's not just the marvel of what was made - and how, it's the marvel of how the owners after purchase kept them going.
Condolences...

My condolences.  A wonderful father!

Ron,
My condolences for your loss. It is clear that your Dad embedded the love for cars with you that has lasted throughout your lifetime. I am sure he will be missed for many years to come.
