Hello All,
I just had a recent triumph over the dim speedometer & tachometer lights. The fuel and temperature gauges are well lit up after fixing ground issues, but the speedometer & tach were better but too dim. Noting that there are 3 bulbs lighting up the fuel & temp gauges and only 2 for the speedometer it is natural that they will be dim. The solution ended up being replacing just the 2 bulbs for the speedometer and tach with with tower LED's with warm white filters. Now the instruments are uniformly illuminated for less than $20 the irritating promblem is gone: ) Regards Don

The units I used were from superbrightleds.com. For the speedometer lights I used 194-NWHP5 (2 required), and BA9S-WWHP5 for the tachometer (1 required). The is for a 1968 AMX/ Javelin.

Only 1 194 bulb is required, as the 2nd one is for the high beam indicator. A total 2 bulbs got it done.

How well do they dim? Lots of people have issues with the LED bulbs not responding to the dimmer like standard bulbs do.
