Well, it's time to get a clutch kit for the Machine. I really don't need anything other than a good quality clutch for street use. I'm trying to stay away from high pedal forces and the need to reinforce the clutch linkage.

I've looked at Summit, Napa, Jegs, RockAuto and it seems there is a $150 or so class and then a $300-400-500 class. It also seems like the diaphragm style is more common than the B&B version. I have used the 'search' function and found that the only common denominator is that 'stock' style clutches seem to last about two years/10k miles and are toast.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a GOOD, STREET, clutch kit? Thanks in advance!

I would consider using a luk clutch #01-025. its a 401 jeep clutch that is 10 15/16 diameter. can be bought on e bay for under 200$. make sure you use the correct bolts for the pressure plate they are a 3/8 bolt with a shoulder and 1/2 head

I put the Luk 01-125 in my Jeep J-10 in Janurary this year. But I partly fried it the first time I backed my loaded car trailer up on my hill.
It's still holding, but chatters just slightly on engagement. I'll be lucky if it last out the year.
Next time I'm going to have to spend the big bucks for my situation.

I tried a Napa stock replacement clutch and I hated it....too soft a feel for me...I opted back into the B&B McLeod clutch system, which emulates "what they used to feel like," according to an experienced gearhead friend.

Thanks guys.  You've answered my two main questions.  Appreciate the advice.
