Reluctantly selling my '74 Hornet X. Fabulous car with nice original paint. Always a western car, never any rust or damage. It has the 258 c.i. engine with a 3 speed stick. It has a rebuilt engine and transmission and refurbished brakes and suspension (meaning replacing only what was worn). It has power front disc brakes and power steering. It has new interior and all gauges and equipment work as they should. Paint is getting thin on the hood, but still real good.

I am more of the 'original type guy', so I did no modifications on the car. It is basically how it was from the factory, with a few cosmetic exceptions.
It runs and drives as good as it looks, and it is loads of fun to get all the thumbs-up in this car.

I am pricing the car at what I think it's worth. I know it is more at the top end of the scale, but I think you would be hard pressed to find one in this condition. If you noticed, the padded dash is cracked. I do have another one that is included with the car.
Also, you don't need to figure in shipping cost to buy this car. You can fly out or drive out with your buddy and drive the car home!!
$10,500

Let me know if you have any questions..Walt

Awesome! And identical to my twins except that mine have a gold stripe.
Good luck with the sale. These cars don't often get the respect they deserve.

Love it!  My first new car was a ‘73 Hornet Hatchback X, 304/ auto. Ordered it, waited 4 months to receive it. Parents wouldn’t let me order the 360 (your kill yourself!) Diamond blue, dark blue stripe, two tone blue vinyl interior. Did add dual exhaust from the parts counter and a B&M shift kit to get a tire “chirp“ upshifting to 2nd gear. Put over 100k very fun miles on it. GLWS, somebody will be getting a sweet AMC.

The car is still for sale. I have a couple of guys that are 'hoping the car won't go away' as they are getting the money together. So, yes as of now, it is still for sale..

Man, that’s a survivor, very nice car. I bet it’s fun to drive around town with the torquey 6 cyl and the 3-speed stick on the floor. Good looks, fun with decent fuel economy - sweet.
