Thought I might start searching for a set of 15” Torque Thrust Ds for my 70’ AMX. Since about anything I find are likely going to be Mopar or Ford, will there be any issues with either? I know the bolt patterns are the same 4.5”. Possibly different centering holes?

Centering hole on most Ford wheels (if they are hub centric - use center hole to align wheel) is slightly smaller than AMC. Most aftermarket wheels are designed to work with Ford/Mopar/AMC and have a large enough centering hole (I believe Mopar needs the same size hole as AMC, but not 100% on that) and use conical lugs to center the wheel (lug centric). You might want to contact the company and ask what size the center hole is, or if they are hub or lug centric.

I ran 15X7 TT Ds on my 68 AMX years ago. No issues. They use a nut with a shoulder that locates the wheel. You'll need to remove the three bolts that hold the rear brake drums on if they're still there.

Thanks fellows. So, is the over riding premise that as long as the wheels are aftermarket and conical lugs are used they should all be interchangeable?

MOST aftermarket wheels would be. There may be some that aren't. The center hole diameter should be in the specs or available from the manufacturer/supplier. I forget what size it needs to be for AMC, maybe someone here knows. I had to file the inner hole of the wheel spacers I recently bought to fit my AMC hubs.

X2. Saw this happen. Friend of mine got tripped up on that. Lug nuts kept coming loose on a road trip.
